LG Phone Prada

1
Slim, sophisticated and very user-friendly, the Prada KE 850 is also completely touch-sensitive, removing the need for a key pad. However, this gem is a little slow on the uptake when it comes to texting.

Prada on the outside, LG on the inside

Polished. That's the new LG Prada KE 850 phone. It's shiny, stylish and looks more like an expensive Italian accessory for the haute couture set, than a Korean phone for the office girls.

Polished also because you need to give it a shine all the time to get those fingerprint smudges off. Definitely not for those with sweaty palms.

But not to worry. Your package comes with a cloth - Prada, no less - to wipe away the marks.

The first thing you notice about the packaging is that it looks like a Prada box. In fact, if I were to give it to my wife, she would probably think there was a Prada wallet or a watch inside.

The LG brand is so understated that you would be hard pressed to see it right off. The front of the phone and the supplied leather case carry only the Prada brand. The LG logo is found only at the back of the phone. But open up the battery cover and LG is everywhere. Think of it this way - it's Prada on the outside but LG on the inside.

This featherweight (85g) is so svelte, it is slightly slimmer than a small pack of Virginia Slims. It fits snugly into the topless leather hard case that covers about 90 per cent of the length of the phone. When it comes to design, you can definitely tell that Prada was in charge.

There is no key pad on this phone so everything is controlled through the generous-sized touch screen, which covers almost the entire length of its front panel. The default black and white theme is exceptionally cool and you will see an analogue clock right in the centre of the screen. Touch the clock and the alarm menu flashes before your eyes. Neat.

The user interface is also well-designed, making it easy to get to where you want and to find what you need. For instance, it's easy to manage your calls and SMS logs, search for a contact, and turn on Bluetooth.

The phone comes with nice extras like MP3 player, 2-megapixel camera for stills and video, a voice recorder and an FM Radio. There is GPRS but 3G and Wi-Fi are lacking.

My one gripe is that texting just takes too long because there seems to be a slight pause between every letter entry made on the touch screen.

FINAL SAY

Overall, this is a great phone for the ladies who aspire to be head turners, and who have $1,288to spare. For the guys, try somethinga little more masculine.

Backup File

File Backup

A Little Trick to Backing Up Your Files Free

As with the majority of computer users, you have probably experienced some sort of computer failure. Whether it was a virus, hard drive crash, or a spilled drink, it probably caused some grief and disappointment.

If you have looked at file backup services, the prices may have turned you away. Luckily it is possible to backup your files online totally free... if you know where to look!

File Backup Secret #1: Gmail

With almost 3 GB of storage, Google's Gmail is a file storage service in disguise!

Once you have a Gmail account, it's simple to store your files. Simply email your files to yourself at your new Gmail address. That's it, the files are right there. (You might need an invite to get a Gmail account, but there are lots of people out there now that can invite you in.)

It works great especially for storing your digital photos. (And if you ever need to send a photo to someone, just forward them the message. No need to search your computer and attach a file all over again.)

This is a quick and dirty file storage option, but it does work. However, it's not the greatest idea to store extremely sensitive or private data this way. It is not meant to be a secure file storage option so do not treat it as one.

File Backup Secret #2: Webshots

Another option for photos is to use a service such as Webshots where you upload your photos for public display. If you ever lose the photos from your computer, simply go to your webshots page and download them from there.

One problem with these solutions is the limit on file size. If you have files that are over 10 MB, it might not work. There are also restrictions on certain file types.

So if you are flat broke and need to backup your files somewhere, Gmail is a viable option. But if you are looking for totally secure, automatic, unlimited backup, you need to find something else. Most likely you will have to pay, but there are some very low-cost yet high-quality services out there.

Afraid of getting scratches on your new Sony Ericsson cellphone?
With a Sony Ericsson Bluetooth watch, you can leave your cellphone safely in your pocket - and control it from your wristwatch instead.
When an incoming call or text message arives, the watch vibrates gently on your wrist, and the caller ID is displayed.
If you are the kind of person who leaves his phone lying around, the watch will remind you with a vibrating signal when it is out of range of your cellphone.
The best thing is the watch itself doesn't need to be pampered.
It is made of stainless steel and comes with a mineral crystal scratch-resistant face.

OSI Model

Virtually all networks in use today are based in some fashion on the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) standard. OSI was developed in 1984 by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a global federation of national standards organizations representing approximately 130 countries.

The core of this standard is the OSI Reference Model, a set of seven layers that define the different stages that data must go through to travel from one device to another over a network. In this article, you'll find out all about the OSI standard.

Binary Translator - CCNA 1

Some of us; myself and some colleague attend the first of CCNA1 lesson. In the first module, we learnt about basic networking. One of the topic is about Binary, Decimal, hexdecimal (hope that I am correct). It is all about conversion and so on. Not wrong though to use the scientific calculator to do it, but the understanding of it may be not that easy.

Below are two video in Part 1 and Part 2, about teaching hex/binary/octal/radix
